Collecting and analysing information relating to a conservation activity allows you to:

  • plan and make decisions
  • assess the effectiveness of your actions and tools
  • understand the relationship between the activity and the biodiversity outcome
  • find out if you need to change something you are doing
  • know if you have reached your objectives
  • demonstrate and report on your achievements.

There are many guides, tools and a range of methods to help assist with monitoring and reporting. Being able to demonstrate your efforts and results with supporting data can improve your chances of receiving funding.
