Collecting and analysing information relating to a conservation activity allows you to:
- plan and make decisions
- assess the effectiveness of your actions and tools
- understand the relationship between the activity and the biodiversity outcome
- find out if you need to change something you are doing
- know if you have reached your objectives
- demonstrate and report on your achievements.
There are many guides, tools and a range of methods to help assist with monitoring and reporting. Being able to demonstrate your efforts and results with supporting data can improve your chances of receiving funding.
